Their entertainment work splits into two worlds that rarely overlap on the ground: motion picture and television (a broad transportation-and-location craft cluster run through production-hub locals like 399 in LA, 817 in NY, 728 in Atlanta, and 155 in Vancouver), and live events, conventions, and trade shows. The live-event world — where Teamsters hold freight and material-handling jurisdiction and often work alongside an IATSE stage local — is the one that matters for a hiring hall and for dispatch. Because this varies by local, the governing CBA for the specific local and year is always the binding source.
