Frequently asked questions

What is Wavemist?

Wavemist is the AI intelligence platform for entertainment production. Its first module tracks production budgets and costs — estimates, actuals, change orders, variance, and wrap reports — and it works fully offline at the venue.

Does Wavemist work offline?

Yes. Wavemist is offline-first: every read and write works with no internet connection, so you can run a show in a basement or a remote festival. Changes sync automatically in the background once a connection returns.

What does the budget and cost module do?

It tracks line-item estimates, actuals as they come in, change orders, and baselines, then computes variance per category and per show. Severity thresholds light up green, yellow, or red so overages are visible immediately, and it generates a wrap report at the end.

Who is Wavemist for?

Production companies that run roughly $15,000 to $5,000,000 shows per year — corporate events, concerts, festivals, and experiential — who need accurate budgets while they are on the venue floor.

How is Wavemist different from spreadsheets or QuickBooks?

Spreadsheets and QuickBooks are generic ledgers. Wavemist is purpose-built for how production people think — by category, by show, by what is already committed — and it turns your bids, crew, and gear into searchable institutional memory that gets sharper every show. It also keeps working on the venue floor when the connection drops.

Is my data private?

Every account only ever sees its own data, enforced at the database level, and Wavemist does not sell, share, or syndicate it. Wavemist stores the data you enter plus standard request metadata for security.

What other modules are planned?

Two more are on the roadmap on the same platform: Labor & Carbon (crew rosters, call sheets, shifts, with Scope-3 carbon emissions computed from the same data) and Run-of-Show & RFQ (timeline, cues, and vendor bids).

How do I get access to Wavemist?
