Jurisdiction: what 2785 actually controls

Teamsters Local 2785 covers freight-handling, loading/unloading, forklift operation, and driving for convention, trade-show, and exposition work in the SF Bay Area and South Bay. Its jurisdiction is defined by the physical movement of equipment into and out of the building: freight off the truck, forklifts on the dock and in staging, and large freight vehicles. It does not perform show-floor AV setup or rigging — that is IATSE stagehand work. Getting this scope right is the first discipline of bidding a 2785 job, because it determines which agreement governs the labor.
