Sound Coverage & System Tuning
The Central Question of Sound Design
Every audio design reduces to one testable question: can everyone hear it, at the same level, clearly, without feedback? Each clause of that question maps to a standards-based, measurable answer, which is the engineering layer beneath simply 'putting up speakers.' A TD need not be the system tech, but must be able to read a coverage map, sanity-check an SPL target, and recognize when a room or a spec is going to fight back.
The exam is drawn from this material, and you need a perfect score to earn the credential. You can retake it as many times as you need.
