General Session Scope & Crew Scaling

The Estimator's Framework: Anatomy + Scaling

A general session is scoped through two coupled tools: a component anatomy (a department-by-department completeness checklist of the gear) and a crew-scaling model (how labor grows with the show). The anatomy tells you what gear lines must exist; the scaling model tells you what labor lines must exist. Together they let a technical director scope a show from a thin brief, gap-check a vendor bid for holes, and size crew, deferring exact dollars to the resolved rate card. The governing principle is to teach the structure, not to invent numbers.

The exam is drawn from this material, and you need a perfect score to earn the credential. You can retake it as many times as you need.
